Reflection note This semester we have made many things. Talking about this course in general, I can definitely point out some details, which I have found useful. First of all, we were working in not typically way (use blogger.com as the main resource of communication with the teacher), because most of the time we, students, work with paper handouts. Secondly, we always were talking and touching really important and global problems, for instance, sexual assault, new technologies and so on. And the last but not least, we were making a lot of practical works such as writing creative stories, making a film review. However, I have found one thing that I did not like. About Stereotypes I have chosen an article which is called "Hollywood Stereotypes: Why Are Russians the Bad Guys?" It was posted on BBC site on November 5th, 2014 and written  by Tom Brook.  I've found it really interesting to read because the author explains the reasons why Hollywood film directors most of the time choose Russians as villians. To begin with, Brook uses Nina Khrushcheva's words, the great-granddaughter of the Soviet leader Nikita Khrushchev, as an argument that due to the Cold War people have an assosiation with Russia as villians. Moreover, these stereotypes are supported by the Vladimir Putin's tough stance as the reason for the increased presence of Russian villains now.
